Here we go.....
The weather has been unbelievably mild for February! Our honey bees think that spring is here and we can't blame them! They are flying about and we are needing to feed them early the year so they don't starve. We sure hope we don't get a big cold snap and lose many hives! In winter, unlike other insects, honeybees don't go dormant. Instead, they stay awake all winter inside the hive, clustered together in a ball, eating honey, and shivering their flight muscles to generate heat.
